Farmings Professional Procurement Service
If every member of North Herts Farmers feels like they have their own procurement manager, as if they paid someone to sit in their own office and purchase farm items, then we have done our job.
There are a number of ways that NHF can benefit you -
1, The Original Procurement Service
2, Supplier Store Discounts
We have pre negotiated discounts in a number of shops that we focus our buying in. This means that when you need for instance building supplies then you can be sure that you are getting the right price for the items you are buying.
3, Administration
All of our members are on a direct debit system so that when you get an invoice from us, if there no queries, then there is nothing else to do. No cheques to send, no online banking, no letters and no late fees. All of our invoices consist of a NHF invoice and behind this are copies of all the invoices that we have been sent thus complete transparency and your secure knowledge that the group isn't making any more than we say we are.
4, Information
We believe that excellent, impartial market information is the key to being able to buy better. If you called every supplier in the country you could probably save £5 per tonne on fertiliser, however if you had the information to buy at the correct time of year then you could save £50 per tonne. We publish regular (but not too regular!) newsletters, emails and text messages to help our members to keep up to date with the markets.
5, Community
We pride ourselves at being at the centre of the farming community keeping members up to date of events in the calendar, training, news and alerts about thefts/suspicious activites in the area. If we can help to pull together the agricultural community then there are a raft of potential benefits from knowledge transfer through to helping catch bandits!
