James Williams
James Williams joined North Herts Farmers at the end of 2011 having worked for a large national merchant for a number of years. James grew up between Harpenden and St Albans on the farm of a family friend. After joining Young Farmers at the age of 11, a passion for farming grew and eventually led to him studying a degree in Agricultural Engineering at Harper Adams. James is a keen snowboarder, is senior steward of the food and farming education area at the Herts Show, chairman of Redbourn and District Agri Comps Society, is a platelet donor and enjoys general rural life in Hertfordshire. He is married to Verity, who is a local vet and they live between Hitchin and Luton with their two dogs Dobby and Hoggy where they also have a small sheep enterprise.
Unusual Fact - James used to fly a paramotor before an incident involving a barbed wire fence...

Jim Black
Jim comes from a family farm just south of Biggleswade who have been members of the group since March 1996. As well as the farm he has run a haulage business from which he has got to know many members and has good experience about logistics, looked after the contract spraying for a large farming business and completed his BASIS qualification. This has given him a wealth of experience in crop inputs which combined with his farm knowledge makes him a very well rounded and experienced addition to the team.
Jim is a golfer and enjoys a round as often as he can.

Amelia McInally
Amelia joined North Herts Farmers in March 2020 in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic to look after the utilities purchasing. A well-travelled Scot who has lived in a few foreign countries including Barbados and Portugal, she originally hails from Dunoon, Argyllshire on the West Coast of Scotland. When Amelia is not working she lives her life with her daughter Bethan and are both starting to learn, love and embrace everything that is country and farming!
Amelia too, is a keen golfer, playing to a pretty high standard in the form of a single figure handicap.
